    Lepidoptera Papilionoidea Lycaenidae Curetis dentata

Curetis dentata Moore, 1879Toothed Sunbeam

Subspecies in India:

(1) Curetis dentata dentata Moore, 1879 – Indian Toothed Sunbeam.
The species has been variously known as the Angled Sunbeam or Dentate Sunbeam in earlier books. The Dentate Sunbeam is just another name for Toothed Sunbeam. On the other hand, the name Angled Sunbeam applies to a synonym of Curetis bulis – Bright Sunbeam. This matter will be clarified in an upcoming book, and will be included on this species page in a few months.
